FAQs

We know that everyone has a unique situation and with that situation come many other questions.

WHAT IS A PATIENT ADVOCATE?

Patient advocacy is a service that helps patients, clients or family members make informed medical decisions.

The healthcare and Insurance system is complex.  Many patients or clients are not fully aware of the resources available to them or what questions to ask when it relates to their healthcare.

Blessed Advocacy is a board certified patient advocate that can help make this process easier for you.

WHY DO I NEED A PATIENT ADVOCATE?

Navigating the healthcare and Insurance system is not only confusing but also time consuming.  This frustration can many times lead patients or clients to give up on the serious aspect of their healthcare.

We hire different experts for different needs. For example, a homeowner who wants to sell their home they may choose to sell it themselves, but the majority of homeowner rely on the expertise of a real estate agent.  So why not do this with your healthcare needs.

Blessed Advocacy can assist and alleviate the stress and confusion so that you can focus on your well-being.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOSPITAL OR INSURANCE ADVOCATE?

When you hire Blessed Advocacy, we work exclusively for YOU and only YOU!  Advocates or patient navigators provided by the hospital or insurance companies have a commitment to the respective agencies that pay them, NOT you.  Our priority is to provide the best outcome for our clients, without the any restrictions from other healthcare agencies.

DOES INSURANCE COVER ADVOCACY SERVICES?

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover advocacy services at this time.  However, we do provide a free 30 minute consultation.  During our consultation, we can mutually determine if our services will be of benefit for you or your loved one.

HOW LONG WILL I NEED SERVICES?

Because every client’s situation is different the services and goals will depend on each individual.  During our initial assessment a comprehensive review of your health history and goal setting will be done.  We may determine at that time you only require a few hours a week however, if your health becomes more complex you may require more time or additional services.
