An advocate can be a family member, friend, trusted coworker or a hired professional. An Advocate provides clients with information and resources to help them better understand the care and treatment options to facilitate informed decision making.
An Advocate’s role is to uphold and respect the client’s wishes. There are many instances when an Advocate can be very beneficial. Below are the most common examples.
